LOCATION: MISSION BEACH
Mission Beach is a popular San Diego beach town on a sandy strand with tranquil Mission Bay on one side and the ocean and waves on the other. It is a densely populated area with narrow streets and alleyways, with a mix of full-time residents and Mission beach house rentals.

Mission Boulevard runs the length of the strand and is home to Belmont Amusement Park along with plenty restaurants, pubs, coffee shops, markets, surf shops, beach boutiques, beach and bike rentals, etc.

It comes alive in on sunny weekends and the summer with a lively scene, especially on the ocean front boardwalk. Mission Bay is calm and swimmable and it’s best to swim in front of a lifeguard tower if you are going into the ocean.
