Endless Summer is a special retreat close to everything, yet away from it all. This very special La Jolla vacation rental was designed to meld modern lines with San Diego beach house comforts. The private, gated grounds offer a complete resort experience for you and your group. Located in La Jolla’s prestigious Lower Hermosa neighborhood, the home is less than a mile to Windansea Beach or Tourmaline Beach and just a block north of the convenient Bird Rock shopping district.
 
This resort-style vacation rental was designed as an indoor/outdoor oasis and constructed to take advantage of the nearby ocean views and the temperate year-round climate of San Diego. The 4 BR/3 BA main residence is nearly 3000 sq. ft. and the adjacent 1BR/1BA private guest suite is nearly 500 sq. ft. The size and layout of a property like this is rarely available this close to the ocean.
 
As you enter the grounds through the front gate you will be greeted by a putting green and outdoor space that that sets the tone for what this property offers: a special and unique beach retreat where your family and friends can gather, share and relax.
 
As you enter the home from the courtyard you’ll be wowed by an expansive professionally designed living area with an open floor plan and a built in horizontal fireplace. At the heart of the home is a tastefully designed great room with French doors that open to a covered patio creating both formal and al fresco dining and living room experiences.The adjacent gourmet kitchen features a work/gathering island topped with leathered finish granite, a stainless appliance package and European hardwood cabinetry with stylish flair.
 
Upstairs, the family/media great room boasts hardwood floors, vaulted ceilings and vanishing sliding doors that open to a covered veranda that frames spectacular water views. This is the place to settle in and relax in comfort while enjoying views to the sparkling Pacific Ocean, and you’re close enough to hear the sounds of the waves crashing against the coastline when the surf is high.
 
Stepping outside, the grounds will give you and your group a complete resort experience. Features include a putting green, 5 unique sitting/lounging/dining areas, an in ground Jacuzzi spa and lap pool and a fire and water feature at the built-in bar area.
 
Just off the main residence is the one bedroom, one bathroom casita. The Casita also comes complete with a full-sized kitchen, a view balcony off this living area with a bistro set for two, and is capped off with a roof-top deck with dining set for up to four and featuring gorgeous 360 views of the ocean and surrounding hills of the La Jolla neighborhood.

Please note: Our rental agreement includes a no tolerance policy regarding noise disturbances, over occupancy and/or parties. Deposit forfeitures, fines and evictions for violations are strictly enforced. Please make sure you are comfortable with these policies and closely read the contract terms and conditions before renting with Bluewater.

What a truly lovely home. Everything was clearly labeled and the decor itself is just adorable. The upstairs balcony/patio quickly became one of my favorite places to have my morning coffee. As I mentioned above, the only thing that could possibly improve this home would be a control solution like Control4 (with a couple of touchscreen remotes) for the lighting and entertainment systems. I simply could not have been more impressed by the property itself, especially the pool and spa. Despite the presence of the main thoroughfare nearby, traffic noise was minimal. The HVAC system in the main home worked perfectly. The lighting design is incredibly inviting and makes this humongous house feel homey and intimate. The Casita was also very much appreciated. We were a group of four men and one woman on a business trip together. Having a separate structure for her allowed her to have an extra level of privacy when she needed it, while not making her feel isolated from the rest of our group. The location was also prime. We found so many wonderful places to eat and have coffee within easy walking (or short driving) distance. Simply put, I was sad to leave when our stay came to an end, and I'll definitely be staying in this home the next time business brings me to the San Diego area.

First of all, the house is great. Everything is modern, nice and comfortable. But this is not a mom-and-pop rental, so don't expect small touches like a six pack of beer in the fridge when you arrive, coffee and condiments in the kitchen, plentiful amenities. It's run by a property management company, and they are very competent. There were a few things missing during our stay, but nothing serious. Not enough bath mats, no floor mats next to the beds on hardwood floors. Bathroom sink stopper stuck in the closed position. Jacuzzi was broken. But this is a solid property. It's clearly a recent remodel of a much more modest house, but the location is outstanding. It's a little inconvenient to freeways, but everything you need is close by and the coastline at Windansea is amazing. Make sure you read the fine print on the description. You have to pay extra if you want the pool heated.

The house is new and spacious with an open floor plan. The home has an extended outdoor living area complete with a pool, fireplace and lots of new outdoor furniture. It has gorgeous views, especially of the sunset and is a block from the beach, although it is more of a surfing beach than a swimming beach. We walked 2 blocks into Bird Rock where there are plentiful shops and restaurants. The guest house would be ideal for a couple wishing for privacy or even for teenagers. The home was spotless when we got there and BlueWater was very responsive to the few issues we encountered and really provided impressive customer service. I would highly recommend Surfside Cuisine if you would like a personal chef to come in and cook for you. It was such a fun experience and we had the best meal of our vacation. The house really is that beautiful that you want to stay in and enjoy the amenities. A couple of other tips: rent bikes at the bird rock surf shop and ride along the boardwalk in Pacific Beach and Mission Beach, uber is very inexpensive and readily available, check out La Jolla village, La Jolla Shores Beach and the Torrey Pines Gliderpark for the views."

The house is set up very well for guests - Instructions are clear and precise. Large screen TVs perfect for sports or movies. Great internet connectivity. The hot tub and pool were well used by our family. We really felt right at home the entire stay. This house was a perfect place to launch our daily adventures around San Diego."
