Retro Beach House I is a newly renovated and decorated Mid-Century Modern, 2 bedroom, 2 bath Tropical Garden View, lower-level duplex home in North Pacific Beach... just steps away (2-3 minute walk) from one of the most popular beaches in Southern California!

THIS GETAWAY HOME is spotlessly clean, fully equipped and sleeps 4 (6 with Queen Murphy Bed). From the moment you arrive you will experience a Blast From the Past! The vintage furnishings are fun and colorful in a Mid-Century Retro style!

THE LIVING ROOM is flanked on both sides by virtual walls of glass. It's furnished with a wild vintage sofa, original Ball Chair; vintage pottery and artglass... 54 High Definition TV/DVD/VCR and Bose Stereo Surround Sound.
MASTER BEDROOM has a Queen mid-century teak platform bed, The GUEST BEDROOM is also furnished with a queen mid-century teak platform bed. Queen Murphy Bed in an alcove off the Living Room

BATHROOMS(all new)... Bathroom off master bedroom has shower and single bowl vanity. Full guest bath has an eight-jet Jacuzzi tub/ shower combination.

THERE IS A LARGE DECK Surrounded by Luscious Tropical Hawaiian landscaping which sets the tone... the quiet garden is beautifully planted with palms, plumeria, ginger, tea plants and other tropicals. There is also a Fire pit, and Outdoor Shower. Get ready to kick-back... the deck area is perfect for whatever activity you choose... whether dining, sunbathing, reading or just snoozing there's plenty of comfy furniture provided... patio table with umbrella (seats 4); swing glider, rattan and butterfly chairs. A gas barbecue grill is provided. This home is just a short walk to a family friendly beach complete with a park, restrooms, showers,lifeguards and boardwalk for bicycling. We provide 4 beach bike cruisers (with locks and helmets), boogie boards, beach towels, umbrellas, and cooler.

Ground floor home, can be combined with upstairs to create a 4 bedroom, 4 bath vacation rental!

  "Retro Relaxing in San Diego" I chose this rental for its space, location, and amenities for my family (2 adults and 2 young kids) and some friends (2 adults and 1 baby). We really enjoyed our time here. There is lots on indoor and outdoor space and was perfect for families with young kids. There is a great deck out back with areas to relax and BBQ. We also really enjoyed the retro vibe. I really liked the mod furniture. There are cool old phones and electronics from decades ago that were nostalgic and fun for the kids. The kitchen was well stocked and there were plenty of extras - bikes, beach chairs, videos, books. The washer and dryer were also super convenient. Location was good, close to beach and shops and restaurants - walking distance for everything. Booking through Bluewater was really easy and they were super helpful and accommodating. I felt like they would have bent over backwards to help us. Only thing I didn't like about this place was sometimes the noise from the u

  Tropical Paradise - Bluewater Vacation Homes was wonderful to deal with. They were helpful and friendly. Check in was super easy and I was able to check in early. The Retro Beach House 1 was amazing! Loved the retro furnishings while enjoying the modern convenience of a beautiful kitchen. Stepping out onto the deck was like entering my own private jungle oasis. The plants were beautiful and there were plenty of hummingbirds and monarch butterflies to amuse me. Loved the outdoor shower. Lying in bed listening to the ocean waves and smelling the aromatic plants from the garden was pure heaven. The location is fabulous, steps to the beach which is never overly crowded even on Labor Day weekend. Close to shopping and lots of great local restaurants. Taco Surf Taco Shop and the Bare Back Grill are not to be missed.
