The prices were great and they were TREMENDOUS at really looking to be sure we had the house that was best for what we really wanted for our reception. We were ready to take the first vacation rental we saw one we saw, but we were encouraged to take a look at a few more to really be sure we made the best decision. I spent a month looking on my own and stressing about not finding anything, so I am also recommending Bluewater to a friend so they don't have to go through the same stress I did.

I just want to thank you so much for the wonderful home you provided for our "staycation" this year. We had a FABULOUS TIME! I wasn't sure if I would like staying in town, thought maybe it wouldn't feel like a vacation but we totally took advantage of the beach, boardwalk, shopping, the wavehouse, etc. All the things we don't normally make time for. I was looking for a great house to make my 50th birthday something really special. I spent many hours searching on VRBO, Homeaway and on the internet until I found this wonderful home in La Jolla listed by Bluewater Vacation Homes. It was exactly what I was looking for! The entire rental process was smooth and easy and they were hands on with me every step of the way. The house was perfect, simply gorgeous and our stay was great. I can't wait for another reason or occasion to contact Bluewater to rent that beautiful house again.

Our vacation to San Diego was probably about the best if not "the best" vacation we have ever had. It started out as myself and my two sons...it ended up with myself , my two sons and 5 other young men aged 19 to 25 that came along. I want to say NOW if it hadn't been for Bluewater's direction and suggestions of renting just the right house, this vacation probably would not have worked out with so many different ages and personalities but they helped me pick the absolutely PERFECT location. Even the neighbors were great ! And since we all had so much fun 3 of the 5 young men that came along have decided they want to move to San Diego this summer. "Awesom Beach Rental!!!" I called Bluewater Vacation Rentals after finding them on the internet. I live in Las Vegas so I don't know much about the San Diego area. Paul sent me over a link with the virtual tour of the beach condo. It looked amazing, but I wasn't sure how it would look in person. I took the chance and rented the condo. I can honestly say the views were unreal! I was so pleased to go to sleep at night to the sound of the ocean. The place was fully furnished and far exceeded the brochure. I didn't arrive until after 10pm on Friday night, and they still sent someone to meet me with the keys! 5 star service!

"Great place for family trip. " We had a great time here. The yard is perfect for little kids to enjoy. The grill and seating outdoors makes it easy to enjoy the extra space. "Our dream wedding!" We held our small-ish wedding at this property and it COULD NOT have been more perfect. The location is easy to get to, the home is beautifully furnished and decorated, and the grounds are so perfect that you won't believe your eyes. The house made us feel pampered while still giving us that "at-home" feeling. We had 20 people stay in the house and it never once felt crowded. We had 40 people come for the wedding day and everyone commented on how perfect the setting was. The backyard is set up so well that you can easily put on a fancy, all-out-formal wedding/party or a more casual affair. It's really that perfect. The Staff at Bluewater were so helpful and attentive when we needed them, but also gave us room to feel at home. Our wedding was everything we wanted it to be and we owe a large part of that to Bluewater and the La Jolla Resort Living property. We will definitely be back! - Cori Dolan

I took the family to San Diego, (Wife, daughter, son- in-law, 1 1/2 yr old grandson) to spend a week at the beach and visit some family in SD. Had a great time and the house was perfect for us in every way. On the sand, but off the boardwalk a bit for added privacy with all the convenineces. We liked being at the end of Mission beach a little away from the crowd, with a park near by and parking at the point for friends who came to visit. Most notably, we had some dishwasher problems, a leaking sink, etc. Management (Blue Water vacation homes) took care of problems within hours and very easy to deal with and very responsive. Loved the upper deck for cocktails and watching activity in the channel. The house was "beachy", comfortable, well equipped but not glamorous. Mission beach is a young crowd and can be a "party area". We were there in late April and could hear a couple of parties in the area on a Friday night, but it's the beach. We rented Ocean Front Oasis for the weekend & it was great. There was a minor mix up regarding arrival times & we got there the same time the cleaning crew arrived, but they were in & out as quickly as they could & still did a decent job considering they were hurrying & trying to work around a large group staggering in the entire time they were there. The house had everything we needed & everybody had a great time. If you want a house to throw a huge rowdy party look else where but if you want a nice house for a large group to hang out & play on the beach then this is it. - Greg Sills

"Beautiful Spacious Vacation Home" This was a beautiful vacation home that we shared with friends. In total, we had 4 adults and 6 kids and had more than enough space for all. There are 2 beaches within walking distance and we were able to run safely in the area without traffic. All are trips to San Diego and a hike in Torrey pines (excellent) were within 20 minutes. Grocery stroes 4 blocks away. Good local restaurants. Bars and night life only 1 mile away. Able to take taxis home for minimal money. Home clean. Hot tub has great view. Would return. My wife and I just got back from a 4 night stay at the house with some friends, and it was absolutely ideal. The house is spread out enough so that everyone had their own privacy, but also enough living area so that a group of 12 of us could relax together comfortably. Ideally set in between La Jolla and Mission Beach, so you have either option depending on your mood. Discovered a nice local beach a mile away, that became a favorite for a quick run/swim/run. The pictures do not do this place justice, book it and you will be very pleasantly surprised! - George LeBeau

"Wonderful and steps from 2 beaches!" We were thoroughly impressed. There were 3 of us (2 adults, one toddler) and the one bedroom was perfect! Plenty of room to relax in the evening and your own private patio. No ocean view but for the price of a home with an ocean view, I think this has more value. Our family of 15 used this home for 4 nights while attending the MCRD graduation and loved it. Close to shopping and highways. MCRD only 10 minutes away. Master bathroom is a dream with large shower and sauna. Kitchen has 2 ovens which was wonderful for our large family. If you have young kids, this is the place for you with outdoor play equipment and toys not to mentions lots of children's DVD's. Enjoy the excellent view from the hot tub with a glass of wine while listening to music piped into speakers from stereo system. Bluewater was great to work with and received deposit refund within a week of our stay. Would definitely stay here again and use Bluewater for our future travel needs. - Mary Beth Klein

"A home away from home" This home was welcoming, well presented, clean and well equipt. The location was easy to find and offered spectacular views across the bay. The only things I can possibly think of to improve would be an extra bike (as there were 3 bikes and 4 of us staying there), a better phone as we struggled to use the one provided. I had a slight issue regarding payments going through and the team I contacted were polite, helpful and quick to resovle the issue. I would have no qualms about renting from them again. - S. Kerr

This is a great house. It's huge and open so it comfortably fits 10-16 people. The backyard is really the key to this house with an awesome pool, basketball court, grill, fire pit, and plenty of lounge chairs etc. The inside is clean and comfortable and conducive to hanging out. The garage has been converted to a Man Cave with video games and a foosball table. The decor in some areas is a little strange with record album cover montages throughout the house. Also, cell phone reception is very spotty on both aTT and Verizon. The house does have WiFi and a land line though so you aren't totally stranded.

"Everything that we hoped for" We had a group of 16 people in from all over the country for our friends' wedding. The weekend was an opportunity for us to reunite with close friends, and also to celebrate our very close friends' wedding. Even with so many people staying at the house, there was not one single conflict or crunch for space. The house simply provided everything that we hoped it would when we went about our search for accomodations for the wedding weekend. "Friend-a-cation was a Success!" My husband and I rented this house with our college friends over the week of Thanksgiving, and had an amazing vacation! We loved eating breakfast at the outdoor dining area, spending the day in the pool and hot tub, mixed with basketball tournaments on the half court, and relaxing near the fire pit in the evenings! This house would be great for kids as well, with a game room with boardgames and video games. There was plenty of living space for all of us to spread out and not get on one another's nerves, but also space large enough for us to hang out all together. Lot's to do in the area too; we made a day trip to Stone Brewery, went hiking at Torey Pines, went to the beach, just a couple miles away, and went out on the town. The Sandpiper is in a great location. Very close to Sea World and many other attractions. The area was quiet and peaceful, but if you wanted excitement, you could simply walk up the beach to Belmont Park. The staff at Bluewater were very helpful. Our family was 2 adults and one 12 year old. The unit is smaller, but very nice and clean. So much better than a hotel room! The beach is only about 100 ft away. Awesome! We will stay here again when we return to San Diego.

"Great vacation home" We stayed here during our vacation for the holiday bowl , we had about 12 people and there was plenty of room and beds for atleast 15-20 people, we had stayed at a more fancy/expensive place the year before, but this one was just as nice, plenty of beds and pool and hot tub are great, lots of activities to do at house, good location, we rented thru Bluewater for the 2nd time, and they are extremely good, will return calls/ texts immediately to fix in minor problems and make sure everything goes smooth, but yet doesn't bother you about anything during your stay. "Mission Beach" Renting a house in most cases involves getting familiar with the amenities. Paul and Kendra were amazingly responsive to making sure we understood how certain of the amenities worked. Bluewater Vacation Homes also stocked our fridge with groceries before we arrived, which saved us some time. Great service from Bluewater. The neighborhood and boardwalk atmoshere is fun and friendly. Our family of 5 liked that this trip was not going to be super quiet/slow and that there was going to be plenty to do. - J. Christopher

"Amazing House For an amazing Weekend!" This is a top-notch house all the way around and was a great place to stay. The rooftop patio will blow your mind and offers amazing views. In addition the kitchen and movie theater room are also incredible. We slept 10 people here easily. The only complaints I have is the flat screen on the main level only has basic cable (no box or HD channels) and the lock on the door was a pain to unlock. But relative to all the other amazing things about the house, that can easily be forgiven. Kendra & the employees at Bluewater were very professional and outgoing and made sure we had everything we needed. I would definitely recommend staying here to anyone looking for a nice spot around San Diego. - J. Butts

Spring Break for the Family - We had a great time on Mission Beach and in San Diego. It was a great place to bring our teenaged boys. The was always action on the boardwalk which we could observe from our balcony. The were also some wonderful sunsets. It was a comfortable, laid back, area with lots of restaurants nearby. The rental was comfortable and noise did not bother us. The Bluewater office was responsive and helped us through the internet log in when we needed it.

We had 8 adults and 3 children (7,8 & 10)in the house and we all felt we had plenty of room. The house is also amazingly sound proof allowing anyone who needed quiet space to retreat to their room without interuption. The home was missing some key items in the kitchen but when these were mentioned to our "house agent" they appeared the same day-newly purchased. Wifi was great. although cell phone service in area was pretty spotty but we managed. The weather was much cooler than we expected (60s) and since we did not want to pay for pool heat we managed with the warmth of the hot tub, which was heaven. "Relaxation" We traveled with a group of 14, 6 children and 8 adults. The home was perfect for our group. The yard was totally fenced in which was great for the kids. The Bluewater staff went far beyond normal customer service. They were always helpful and courteous. We asked quite a bit from them and they deliverd with a smile every time. I will definately call them again when I need a San Diego vacation spot.

The location of the Brighton Court Bungalow is perfect, directly between the Ocean and the Bay. It is in a great spot to base any SD area day trip. The house was very clean, and had lots of outdoor living space. It has a garage so parking is a non-issue. A washer and dryer are in the garage for those inclined to wash clothes while on vacation. The neighborhood was generally quiet, and was very quiet at night. The Sea World fireworks (all 4 minutes of them) are a nightly treat if you are willing to walk 1 minute to the bay. Wireless internet is included. The house is perfect for families. So things to improve or be aware of: The house sits directly on the main road. 2 of the bedrooms have windows that open directly to the passing sidewalk. If the windows are left open at night, you feel part of the conversation of any passerby. If the windows are closed, the rooms get a bit warm. There is no diswasher in the kitchen. The last thing I want to do on vacation is hand wash dishes. There is no ice maker in the freezer. 2 trays are provided. The kitchen was immaculately clean, which means the renter must purchase or bring everything, including salt, pepper, sugar, cleaning bags, cooking oil, and all of those things you never think you need until you look for them. There are no bicycles with the house. Ray's Rentals has a daily special for $10 per bike, but that adds up with a family of 5. Bicycles would be a very nice addition. Great location...But? The price and area are excellent, sales agent was vary informal and helped out when needed I can call her at anytime and she would be there with the answers! On the day of check-in the cleaning crew were a bit late cleaning up the beach house so we had to wait I'd say about 45mins to get in. Also the house was not totally clean I had to recall the crew to come back and re-vacuum the area rug and sweep outside...not a good job of cleaning. Also "trash" hadn't been pick up since the morning so we had a weeks worth of past tenants trash to deal with. Over all the location was great and area was friendly, but the beach house was a little out of date with certain items (towels, beds/lien, furniture, etc) and what you read on the check-in email from blue-water take extra (beach chairs, beach towels, bath towels,etc)items don't believe what you read and see on the email. Oceanfront Heaven!!! I organized a trip for my husband's 40th birthday--there were 3 couples and we chose this house based on location, amenities, and the pictures on the bluewater website. The house is amazing--3 bedrooms with Queen beds (great for couples!) and a forth room with a futon, upscale appliances, bath fixtures, tile, etc. And being oceanfront to see the amazing sunsets off the balcony was truly an experience. There was also a secondary balcony off the two bedrooms in the back of the house which was an unexpected bonus. Another great thing was the 2 car garage--never having to worry about finding a spot or gettng towed. Location was fabulous--we walked to all the bars in PB and MB. The team at Bluewater was really on the game and helped make this a great trip for us. They were always friendly, and always available to answer our questions (like when we couldn't figure out how to work the Tv---it was user error but they were so patient with us!) All the bathrooms had upscale bath products including lotion, which was a nice touch from Bluewater. Our week stay at Oasis was relaxing, enjoyable, and comfortable. The area is accommodating for all ages whether it be a day relaxing on the beach, volleyball, biking, food, walks, shopping, etc. Close enough yet not right on the boardwalk to make for a quiet, private beach house. Great family Get away! - Our family stay at Casa La Jolla was absolutley fantastic. It was the perfect environment for our annual family get-together. The house was easily accessible with simple directions, and in a safe neighborhood. The home was beautifully appointed, clean and well-equipped, both inside and out with games and all of the conveniences of home. The kitchen had wonderful cookware & cutlery, and the custom appliances made it a joy to prepare meals for the gang. The grounds were nicely manicured and the 2 children's play house areas were safe and really made the yard an amazing place for children of all ages. The views down the canyon and across the ocean, were spectacular. The house itself was more spectacular than the photos, because the photos could not capture the ambiance. The photos could not capture all of the fun the family had playing lawn games, watching the children in the play houses, and sitting around the fire pit watching the fireworks in the evenings. Our rental representatives were courteous, accessible and very accommodating at every step of the rental process. The views of the Pacific Ocean are breathtaking, however there is no direct access to the beach at this location. The "beach" area here is all rocky. There are several beaches in the area, many require descending down to the beach via several stairs. The location is ideal because of easy access to downtown San Diego (20 minutes) , several beaches in the neighbourhood and many restaurants and cafes within walking distance of the house. Thank you for making our stay memorable and we look forward to returning!!! We would not hesitate to rent Villa Pacifica again. Quaint beach house right on the sand! - We had a great experience with Bluewater, and couldn't have enjoyed the house more! Beautiful unit. Views were spectacular. - We spent four great days at this unit and I would recommend it to anyone looking for great views and quiet location. Wonderful for one or two families with children as it will accomodate many. Kitchen is fully equipped, appliances are great. We cooked in and loved every minute of it. We plan on returning with our family and friends soon. My only caution would be to anyone who is handicapped or unable to climb stairs as there are many stairs at the entry and might be a problem to navigate. Thank you to Blue Water Vacation Rentals. Best Beach Vacation Ever!!! - I can't say enough about our stay at the Pacific Blue. The property recently remodeled (in July) and was absolutely gorgeous inside. We had our family of 7 at the Pacific Blue and absolutely loved it. It was very spacious which allowed for privacy when the kids were asleep. The Pacific Blue is situated less than a block from the Pacific / Mission beach border. There are plenty of restaurants and things to do in walking distance. The kids have all said they want to go back (even over Disney World). We had a great time. The house was great! The outside areas were fabulous. There were several areas outside that really made it feel as if the house was three times its size. We had fires in the back around the fire pit. We had meals at the outside tables on the pation off of the kitchen. We were in the hot tub, and in and around the pool. Review #4765281 A Piece of Paradise ! Kendra, Thank you for an incrdedible vacation! The Rockaway Retreat was a GREAT choice, thank you! We celebrated my mother-in-laws' 70th Birthday. We put her up in the ocean front master suite where she enjoyed waking up to the waves crashing right in front of her each morning. She said she had fun sipping her morning coffee in bed while watching the dolphins swimming in the ocean waves! The condo was very spacious and each of us had our private space which made it very, very comfortable for all. My wife and I slept in the back two bedrooms along with our two daughters. The Jack and Jill Bathroom was perfect for us and even being in the back bedrooms, we could open our windows and clearly hear the waves crashing as we went to sleep! My wifes Aunt slept in the 4th bedroom and enjoyed having the comfort of her own bathroom. The kitchen, livingroom, and ocean front balcony areas were fantastic! We enjoyed grilling up some fresh fish on the bbq for dinner while watchng the world series baseball games on the surround sound tv theatre systym! I think we would all agree that our favorite part was sitting around the fire pit on the ocean front balcony each evening listening to the waves with a bowl of ice cream and sharing stories with each other about our day and our lives. Excellent service and beautiful house! From the time I made the reservation to the end of my stay has been nothing short of a great experience. Kendra was very helpful every step of the way and the house we decided to rent was clean and beautiful. Everything was brand new and clean. Area was right by the beach and accessible to everything. Though parking for more than 2 cars can be challenging at times. Overall everyone had a great time, loved the house, and would recommend Kendra and blue water anytime. La Joilla is such a wonderful place and then you drive up onto the hillside into the immaculate quite neighborhood where the home is located. The pictures online at VRBO looked great, but they didn’t start to capture how great the home is. When we walked in, the home was so welcoming and warm. The entire ocean facing side of the house is almost entirely windows so no matter where you are in the home you have a great view. The living room has a wonderful fire place and sleep worthy couches, sooo very comfortable. There’s a terrific 8 person dinner table that is situated with perfect views out across La Joilla and to the ocean. When entering the master my wife immediately tried out the bed, she’s a bit of a mattress critic, and immediately said we need to get one of these. Her opinion was the same after 3 nights of sleeping on the bed and according to her, being some of the best sleep she has had in a while. The master bath has a wonderful jetted tub that my wife and daughters enjoyed very much. At this point my wife and I were both commenting on how complete of a house this was, seeming to have every creature comfort you could think of. The master had its own work desk and printer at your disposal as well as wireless internet throughout the house if your need of such things, we were on vacation so they didn’t get utilized during our stay. Not even having seen 1/3 of the house we were very excited about our stay. My wife had to go check out the kitchen, we like home cooked meals over the option of eating out. If I could think of an ideal kitchen, this one would be it. In keeping with the theme everything you could possibly need was there, immaculate, easy to find, and ready to use. We cooked several meals while there and never once said “oh I wish we had a ….” Like the mattress I got the “We should get one of these for our home” a couple more times. To top it all off the kitchen had some of the most unique counter tops I have ever experienced. None of the time spent in this kitchen was seen as a chore. Downstairs there were 3 more bedrooms, a bathroom, and media room. All of the bedrooms were beautifully decorated in a minimalist fashion. Two of the bedrooms and the media room all had floor to ceiling glass, and doors in each that exited out onto the deck. There was another table and chairs in the media room

When my wife, two kids and three friends drove to the rental house we were a bit apprehensive. It looks small as we drove up, and I thought we would all have to sleep in one room. But once we opened the front entry door leading down to a private courtyard, we started to feel better about the house. Then opening the front door we knew things would be fine. The house is nice and big, it is on a hill with the two living floors below and behind the garage level. The house is located in a quiet residential neighborhood, and this house fits in perfectly. It is not a crazy beach area so if you're looking for lots of drunk beach activity this may not be for you. It is a minimal walk to the village, where we had a few drinks at a couple of the bars, grabbed some food, and walked back to the house. The walk back to the house is uphill, and takes about 15 mines, but it sure beats having to deal with having a designated driver. La Jollavillage is a fun place with an upscale night life. My wife really enjoyed "La Valencia" where we passed the stuffy bar in front and had a casual drink in the piano lounge with a beautiful ocean view. Back to the house. The Master bedroom earns its name. It has an awesome view, private bath, TV, computer printer, its a great retreat. All the other bedrooms are downstairs. Two bedrooms have queens, one has two twins. One of the queen rooms has no ocean view, while the other two have ocean views with deck access. These rooms are smaller than the Master so we had to split the cost accordingly. But they were all clean, everything seemed new, and fresh. There is only the one bathroom downstairs, and with so many people, that required a little shower planning. But with the sinks on the outside of the toilet/bath and a 1/2 bath just upstairs, we did just fine. We never ran out of hot water with our large party, even while the kids did baths. Cleanliness: My wife is the type where if there is a hair in the sink she freaks out... She thought the place was immaculate. I only cared that the grill is big , got nice and hot and a searing burner was a juicy plus, YUM. Space: Plenty of space, nice entertainment room downstairs, with ocean view and access to deck. Location: Its in a very upscale neighborhood, with a great ocean view. Streets are a bit beat up oddly for the obvious real estate value. Traffic to the house from the freeway can be congested sometimes and add 10min to a pretty short drive.

The courtyard was great and perfect for the two year old in our party. It was completely enclosed and she had a great time discovering the flowers around the courtyard. We were provided with a crib upon request and we had everything we needed at the house. They provided the beach towels as well as beach equipment. It was a perfect getaway in a great home.

We were 6 adults and 1 child (1 y.o) and had plenty of space to move around. The front yard is small but private with a grill. We walked to the village (about 15 minutes) and to the children's pool (about 25 min) just about every day. There are beach towels and children's beach toys at the house. The crib is about the size of a pack and play and was fine for our baby. The house is extremely quiet - very little noise from the outside world. With all the windows open, we enjoyed seasonal cross breezes and slept wonderfully.

Happy to say that, in this case, the descriptions/photos actually don't go far enough to describe how nice this house is. First, the house was impeccably clean and felt very inviting. The house is built on a hillside, so the first floor at grade level is the garage. From the curb (as you drive up), this feature effectively hides the house from view. However, once you walk from the garage down the interior stairs to the kitchen, the house avails itself and, at that point, you know you've made a great choice. I could go on and on about describing the house. But, as I noted above, the owner's descriptions are accurate, just very understated. Suffice it to say that it's a great, relaxing, comfortable house, that has an upscale feel, but isn't pretentious (even though LaJolla Country Club's golf course is literally at the end of the street). La Jolla Village is a leisurely stroll down the hill (15 mins?), and an even quicker drive. The Village is a great place to walk around, grab a drink at an open-air bar, and just enjoy the mojo. It has great dining as well. When you've had enough, you get to leave all of that behind and go back to the tranquil neighborhood. Communication with the owner was easy, clear and precise; no misunderstandings or misrepresentations of any kind. Everything was as advertised; from the house itself, the rental agreement, the key location, the security deposit refund, etc. Finally, the owners have provided everything you need; all kitchen utensils, linens, towels, silverware, glassware, flatware, dishwashing soap, laundry soap, beach towels, beach chairs, even boogie boards! If you can't relax and have fun here, you're just grumpy.

Review #4798021 Anniversary Celebration - A group of us came out to celebrate our 11th anniversary on 11/11/11 and this place worked out perfectly. At first, we were a little worried the size would not accommodate us, but Kendra was very comforting and reassured us that we would all be very pleased. We could not be more pleased. All of our guests were beyond impressed. The location was perfect, the view was perfect, and we were all very comfortable. We used the fire pit so much that we ran out of propane, but that was only because we put it to good use. This event was very memorable for us. We would definitely rent this place again. We liked being on the second floor because it kept us above eye ground to see everything. We visited a couple of restaurants, we walked the beach, ran surfed, you name it, it was available. Liquor store a block away, grocery store...blocks away. We could not have asked for a better place for our special event. Thanks!

Review #4856624 Memorable Thanksgiving We spent a great week with our extended family during Thanksgiving. The spa was large enough to hold all of us and we had the pool heated, which turned out to be a real bonus. Both were used every day. The home was so spacious that we had plenty of room to gather together as one large group and yet spread out and private enough that we could also have quiet time if we needed it. We made a traditional Thanksgiving dinner and seated 12 easily...including four children ages one to four. At the end of the week we were all wishing we could extend our stay! Thank you for a vacation we will remember for years to come...

"Perfect location in San Diego!" Stayed in the house for one week together with 5 other guys. The space is well enough for 5-6 people sharing the beds so it was perfect! The location just on the beach front walk is great with a nice outside seating area with a fire place and nice view. Bluewater helped us arrange a nice welcome with cold champagne waiting upon our arrival in a very customer friendly way which was very appreciated! I would recommend this house anytime but if you want sun and beach I suggest going earlier than October when the weather and beach life outside is more lovely, then it should be even better!

"Beautiful house - highly recommend" My other half and I stayed in this house for 4 nights at the beginning of January. What a dream! We spent a couple of nights in the Four Seasons in Vegas just before, and I can honestly say that we both preferred this house to the glitz and glamour of the Four Seasons! It is every bit as nice as it looks in the photos; the surrounding area is fabulous,a few minutes walk to the local restaurants and a short drive to either La Jolla village or downtown San Diego. Beds were comfortable, house was peaceful, don't have a bad word to say! Would not hesitate to recommed this to anyone. - Zoe

Beautiful Family Friendly Home on a Quiet Cul De Sac Our family had a wonderful stay at Casa La Jolla. The kids thoroughly enjoyed the kid friendly bedrooms, Wii, den, and playground in the yard, while the adults enjoyed their private patio, formal living room for wine and private TV viewing, the professional kitchen appliances, and office space. The house is within just a couple of miles of downtown La Jolla, perfect for exercising outside on any number of beautiful paths, and super close to the beach. "Great appartment, Fantastic location" I visited from England over the Christmas period, and splent alot of time on Google looking at all the Mission Beach / Mission Bay accomodation I could find. I came across the accomodation on the Bluewater Vacation Homes website, and it really caught my eye. There's always the worry with the Internet that a) the website may not have the service to back it up, and b) the description and pictures may be too good to be true. In this case I have to say I was delighted on both counts. The booking was a breeze, with additional assistance and offers around local attractions, and the place was just right for us (family of 4). The accomodation itself is a good size, well equipped and very comfortably furnished. The location is absolutley brilliant, right on the boardwalk looking out over the Pacific. I had wondered about Mission Beach vs Mission Bay, and I am so glad we went for the beach side. It was great to watch the waves rolling in, and nearly every day we saw a school (?) of dolphins swimming by, sometimes jumping around and surfing in the waves. Amazing. The property is also in a great location for getting to attractinos, stores, restaurants etc. Being roughly half-way between Belmont park and the Pier, it's not as busy as it would be closer to either of them, but both are easily walkable. It's also near The Mission cafe that does a great breakfast. I can't honestly say there was anything I didn't like. If I was going to picky, the bathroom could be bigger and there could be a drying rack for towels after we'd all showered, but really that's not what I go on holiday for. Just a great place

“We had a great time staying at the Icon on Mission Beach in San Diego. Our group traveled from all over the US and couldn’t have ended up in a better location. The deck is elevated but directly adjacent to the boardwalk, so there was always plenty going on. Additionally, the house was walking distance to many amenities and restaurants. My family and I stayed at Sea Sparkle Cottage during Thanksgiving week. It is a lovely spot and very comfortable for 4 adults with 3 youngsters running around. The home is fully equipped—no need to bring even a hairdryer as 1 was provided along with bedding, extra bedding, towels, everything you need in the kitchen to prepare and then store food, puzzles for good old fashioned family time/entertainment, laundry, an easy to use gas grill outside, beach chairs and sand tools for the kids. Bluewater provided a card table while the cottage owner put an extra leaf in the dining room table for our Thanksgiving meal. I have already recommended Sea Sparkle Cottage to friends and yearn to stay there again! Cheers, Caroline

"Lots of space, fun, relaxing :)" Nice place - we rented the bottom 2 floors. It has 2 bedrooms upstairs (sleeps up to 5), with a bathroom for them all. Big kitchen & living room has a fold out couch. Downstairs master suite is huge with private porch w/ outdoor hot tub. Can exit beach from the porch. Nice big balcony upstairs too w/ grill - looks out at the bay and the beach. Practically across from the volleyball nets. A few minutes from the beach water (it's not directly on the bike path). Pretty quiet actually, especially for a holiday weekend! Management was super friendly + helpful too :)

"Great location - very relaxing" We had a great time at the Bahamas Beach House. Five of us could easily spread out and relax, and then come together for meals at the table. Great location - just steps to beach and bay. Quiet neighborhood, garage parking and so many things to do close by. We would definitely stay here again.
